Weekend Wants

01. Nike's $100-$250. I want to go into a shoe shop and be fitted to the runners that are best suited to my needs. My new years resolution was to 'be happy' and I think exercise would definitely help me achieve happiness. I also think that if I reward myself with some nice runners I will be more motivated to go for a run as I will want to wear them.

02. Lululemon yoga crops $109. Although I don't do yoga I think these pants are so so cute! Back to the getting motivated to exercise thought, these would be amazing to put me a great mood and give me some energetic drive. I mean look at the colour!

03. Infinity ring $15 on etsy. Besides these rings being absolutly adorable I think the cute little encouragment they give is just amazing. If you're down you can look at it and think 'infinite happiness,' if you're having fun with your friends you can think, 'infinite friendship'. Any time of any day it has meaning. It would also be a beautiful gift to give to someone.

04. Blonde hair $? I think if I will dye my hair again I will do it at home. It cost me a hefty $235 at the salon and I am sure I can get the results I want at home for about $20. I wont go this light at the top but I am digging the light blonde ombre.

Dying my hair

NEW HAIR COLOUR

So, I have never really been one to dye my hair. I have had a few little highlights popped in here and there before, but this is the first time I have done anything drastic.
When I was little I used to have blonde hair and as I have grown older my hair has gotten darker. It got so dark so quickly that family members that I hadn't seen for a year or so asked if I had dyed my hair darker. I have always thought about dying my hair lighter but I never had the guts. So last week I grew some balls and booked in at the hair dresser.
I found this picture on pintrest and fell in love. This is what the hair dresser based my hair off.

I got 2 different shades of blonde foiled through the bottom 3/4 of my hair and the rest of my hair lifted 2 shades.
Before
After

Now that I have bitten the bullet and done it I fell as though I am going to become addicted. I am already looking at pictures thinking about what I will do next. I'm thinking blonder. :)

It was so much fun dying my hair. If you have been thinking about dying your hair but have been a wimp like me, please just give it a whirl. In all honesty, what's the worst that could happen?

IT'S A NEW YEAR!

First off I want to apologise for my absence of late. Work and the Christmas period was just insane and I have been away since the new year to the gold coast (which I might do a bit of a photo post on if people are interested).

A new year, a new you. Yes?

I know I am not one to keep resolutions - last year it was to get fit and I don't remember the last time I went for a run. Running is just something I don't enjoy no matter how hard I try. I'm sure many will feel the same way. So I am not forcing myself to do something that makes me unhappy, I have decided that my new years resolution is simply to be happy.

BE HAPPY
I am hoping to achieve this through some short and sweet goals that will just keep me happy. Simple.
If anyone wants me to perhaps share my goals or my ideas of the new year let me know.

TREND - MATCHING LIPS, SHOES AND NAILS.

I've seen a trend about the place on matching lips and nails. But I thought, 'why not chuck in some matching shoes as well?' It's a great way to get more wear out for your coloured heels and little black dress.

There are many brands (as shown in the picture bellow) that make the identical colour in lips and nails. This would be perfect for this look.

I have however, just had a look through my collection and found matching colours that I already owned for my coral and red heals.

lips: Rimmel 1000 kisses stay on lip liner pencil 021 Red Dynamite
and Revlon Colour Burst Lipstick in 045 Raspberry
shoes: Novo
nails: Calvin Klein splendid colour in Caught Red Handed

lips: Maybelline Coloursensational Lipstick in 420 Coral Pop
shoes: Girl express at K Mart
nails: ultra 3 nail colour in watermelon

I think this is the best way to re-wear an outfit. Buy a simple black dress and make your look all about your lips, shoes and nails! What colours do you like best? I think a nude would be lovely.

REVLON JUST BITTEN KISSABLE BALM STAIN - REVIEW

Straight off, I love this product! The colour range is great and I think it is a must have for every girl. Check it out here!

I have the colour 025 Sweetheart / Valentine. It is a lovely hot pink with blue undertones, so it doesn't make your teeth look yellow. It is an amazing bright colour and I can't wait to sport it this Summer!
As the name suggests it is both a balm and a stain. The finish when first applied is that of a lip balm or gloss over a highly pigmented lip stick. It is super glossy and stays that way for at least half an hour.
The most impressive attribute of this product is it's stain component. Once its on it hardly budges. I wore it out the other night and the next morning I couldn't get it off for work. That's how amazing it is! I didn't even take it with me to top it up through out the night. Just a balm or gloss to re-enhance the shine is all you will need.

It has a minty fresh smell, but doesn't taste. I love that it doesn't taste. I find sometimes the taste and smell can be too overwhelming with some lip products and it can make me feel quite sick.
The packaging is great. It's nice and easy to apply due to the pointed end and it is wind up. I'm not sure how easy it will be to apply once the point wears down. Although, I think I'll just use a lip brush when this happens. The tube is colour coded with the balm stain which will be great once I grow my collection.

I have no negatives for this product. Love love love it! It's even cheaper than my beloved Lip Butters at $17.95.
I am going to look for other colours in the balm stains and I'm sure I will have a large collection very soon.

WHY DO YOU WEAR MAKEUP? TAG!

Hi everyone. First I just want to thank everyone for following me. I am so shocked and happy to have so many subscribers so quickly. So thank you for that and thank you for reading my blog and leaving your lovely comments.

So, I have seen this tag on various blogs and on YouTube so I thought I would have a little go at the 'Why do you wear makeup tag'.

01. When did you begin?
I started wearing makeup when I was about 14. I'm not sure if it was just a country Australian thing but there were discos once a month called the blue light (bluzza if you were local haha) and the first one of those I went to was I think the first time I wore makeup. I would use maybe a lip gloss or some mascara before then, but not a full face. I would also only wear it once a month at the blue light.

02. How do you feel without makeup?
To be perfectly honest I feel fine without makeup on. I work in a cafe and if I don't have time to pop some makeup on before work I don't. At school I never wore it either. I started wearing some mascara towards the end of year 12, but that's all.
I do feel much prettier with makeup and I wear it to uni and when going shopping or out for lunch. If I have no occasion to wear it though, I will go without.

03. What do you like about makeup?
I love trying new products and styles. It's amazing how the different ways you do your makeup can have such an impact on your overall style. I also love the confidence it can give and the added touch of girlieness. When I go out with my friends I think half the fun is doing our makeup together.

04. Holy-Grail Items:
I love the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. It has the perfect level of medium coverage for me and the smell is  amazing! Also, my Prestige eye lash curlers. Although it isn't technically a makeup item I use these ever day even when I'm not wearing mascara and it alters your physical appearance so I am including it as one.

I tag everyone reading this to do the tag too!

WEEKEND WANTS

01.

05.

Today it's been a lovely 34 degrees here in Melbourne and I delightfully had to work and missed out on all the sunshine! The weather is going to keep getting hotter and I hope that I get to enjoy the sunshine some time very soon. Maybe tomorrow!

I've been in a very floral, girly, frilly mood today and walking home from work I had to resist purchasing anything (and Topshop was having a huge sale!). I am proud of myself for not caving to my cravings like I usually do. Anyway, I thought I would share my wants for this weekend with you.

01. White Sand Jasmine Violate Floral Bikini $219. It is too perfect for words! I love the pastel colours and I love the frill down the front. I am also a fan of bandeau bikinis. I think they are much more flattering on someone like me who has no body shape and are just straight up and down. There are two down falls for this beautiful bikini though. Firstly it is $219, which I think is very pricey for bathers, and secondly, it is sold out in my size. There are heaps of other lovely bathers on the White Sands website, if you wan to check them out.

02. Jelly Sandals $29.99. I love the new clear plastic with the glitter in side. I think they are adorable and I am considering purchasing a pair for the upcoming festival season! I have never owned a pair and I get mixed reviews from friends. Some love them and some think they rub. I think the only to see is to try them out!

03. Dahlia Floral Lace Collar Skater Dress from Asos $119. I love the lace and the cut of this dress. I think it's super cute and perfect for Summer. I am a bit obsessed with lace at the moment and what I really want is lace shorts. But, I'm too fussy and can't find the perfect pair anywhere. I am tempted just to sew my own.

04. Silver statement watch $48 and Silver anchor bracelet $8 from Sabo Skirt. I love the clothes at Sabo skirt but the accessories really tempt me. The watch is amazing  and cheap. I think it's similar to the Micheal Kors watches yet not to similar that it is a direct dupe. The bracelet is so delightful and cheap!

05. Silver Pyramid ring from Sabo Skirt $6. Again more accessories from Sabo Skirt. I think this ring is really cute and will be great for summer and the festival season. Accessorising at festivals can be difficult because it is so easy to lose things and I know I personally can't stand anything that's annoying in the mosh. I think this ring is nice and edgy,  but also small enough to not be annoying.
I hope you had/ have a lovely weekend (time differences confuse me) and you liked my wants.

What's on your wish list right now?
